Engineered as a compact, rigid-bottomed, foldable litter, the FLDS opens from a folded 18-inch pack to a full 78-inch casualty platform in seconds. Four G-hook straps secure the patient, eight carry handles let a team share the load, and a dedicated drag loop lets a single rescuer pull the whole package to cover — over ground a wheeled stretcher will never reach. Why Choose the Foldable Drag Litter?

Most compact litters roll. Ours folds — and that difference is the whole point. A rolled litter is soft by necessity: to coil into a tube it has to stay limp, so it fights you flat on deployment, curls back up while you’re trying to load a casualty, and sags and “tacos” around the patient the moment you lift. The Foldable Drag Litter is built from rigid ABS panels that hinge instead of coil. It opens flat in one motion and stays flat, gives the casualty a stiff, fully supported platform instead of a hammock, and presents a hard, low-friction underside that slides over terrain instead of dragging soft fabric through it.
Folding wins on storage, too. A roll is a cylinder — it wastes space, won’t stack, and works itself loose in a pack or vehicle. The FLDS collapses to a flat 18 × 10 × 1.5 in panel that stows against a wall, lies flat in a kit, stacks by the dozen for an MCI cache, and refolds to the exact same size every time along creases that don’t loosen with use. How It Works: The Science of Rapid Casualty Movement

A litter earns its place by solving three problems at once — weight, terrain, and patient security. The FLDS is built around all three.

Distributes the load.  —  Eight handles let three or four rescuers share a casualty’s weight and move in step, instead of two people muscling a dead lift. Spreading the load is how a team moves farther and faster without adding a rescuer to the casualty count — patient handling is the leading source of EMS injuries, and handles are the countermeasure.

Beats the terrain.  —  The rigid ABS underside turns the litter into a sled. Where a soft drag bag digs in and a wheeled cot stops at the first curb, the FLDS slides — letting one person drag a full-grown casualty across ground that would otherwise take a full team.

Holds the casualty.  —  Four G-hook straps lock the patient to the platform, keeping an unconscious or combative casualty from rolling off mid-move, protecting injuries from shifting, and letting the team commit to speed instead of babysitting the load.
