The Blizzard Responder Active Warming Kit with The Blizzard 3 Layer Trauma Blanket and HAWK is the new standard in thermal protection for casualties.  This extra-large blanket wraps around a casualty and seals with a self-adhesive closure.  It can easily be re-opened for examination of the casualty or medical intervention while providing total warmth and weather protection.   Blizzard 3 Layer Trauma Blanket partnered with the Hawk Warming Grid reduces shock and guards against the risk of hypothermia in any and all conditions.  Blizzard Responder Active Warming Kit is revolutionary upgrade in thermal protection and is a lifesaver in any situation in which people need to be kept warm or treated immediately for chilling and hypothermia.

Blizzard Responder Active Warming Kit contains the proven Blizzard Survival Blanket (BPS-10) and Hawk Warming Grid (eight (8) Grid).  This unique combination is specifically designed for Emergency Preparedness and hypothermia prevention in almost any emergency where hypothermia is a risk.

Our Blizzard Responder Active Warming Kits carry a Blizzard Survival Blanket which is our largest survival blanket has a self-adhesive closure.  Manufactured with Reflexcell™ technology for unapparelled performance and practicality compared to conventional foil-type ‘space’ blankets.  It provides total warmth and weather protection and can easily be opened and re-opened.  The Blizzard Survival Blanket itself provides Warmth: 7.5 Togs equal to a medium weight regular sleeping bag and is fully waterproof and windproof while taking up very little room in your personal emergency pack or vehicle.

The uses and applications for this kit include everything from military, medical, marine and mountain rescue, to civil evacuations and disasters. The Blizzard Survival Blanket is a full-sized survival bag in a pack the size of a paperback book, providing total warmth and shelter, anywhere, at any time.  The Survival Bag consists of three (3) layers of Reflexcell™ technology.  These three (3) expandable layers are constructed of metalized material with an elastic core. The design allows baffles to form, trapping warm air between a patient and the surrounding elements. The storage blanket may be stored indefinitely, and is not affected by temperature or moisture, either during storage or in use.

The second piece of our thermal protection kit of and is the HAWK™ Warming Grid.  The HAWK™ Warming Grid is a self-contained, portable heat source that has the capability of precision tuning and safely activates in just minutes. The HAWK is air activated and heat adjustable, using advanced technology to maintain optimal temperature. It’s simple shut off capability extends the life of the warming grid while the pad provides 4-32 hours of constant heat, depending on therapeutic need.
