Popp Point Pressure™ Devices Show Promise in Saving Lives and Limbs, Gaining Acclaim at Special
Operations Medical Assembly

Myrtle Beach, SC – 6:8 Medical Solutions is proud to announce that its Popp Point Pressure™ family of
hemorrhage control devices received widespread acclaim at this year’s Special Operations Medical Scientific
Assembly (SOMSA). Among the highlights of the event was the enthusiastic endorsement of the devices by Dr.
Giulio Novarese, a globally recognized trauma surgeon and tactical physician with over 25 years of operational
experience.

Known for their compact design, simplicity, and life-saving potential, the Popp Point Pressure™ devices—including
the Advantage Pressure Bar and HemGuard Targeted Pressure Bandages—were recognized as one of the most
important trauma care innovations showcased at SOMSA 2025.

“These are among the top advancements I’ve seen in over two decades,” said Dr. Novarese. “Their small size,
intuitive design, and ability to deliver focused pressure make them uniquely effective in both military and civilian
settings. I truly believe they have the potential to prevent unnecessary limb loss, especially in conflict zones like
Ukraine, where prolonged evacuation times are a reality.”

Developed by Uriah Popp, a former U.S. Army Special Operations combat medic, the Popp Point
Pressure™ system was designed to close a critical gap in prehospital hemorrhage control. By delivering immediate,
targeted pressure to bleeding wounds, the devices can preserve both life and limb—especially in austere and
resource-limited environments.

“We’re humbled and honored by the reception our devices received at SOMSA,” said Uriah Popp, CEO and
inventor. “Feedback from professionals like Dr. Novarese affirms what we’ve known all along: simple, effective tools
can change outcomes and save lives.”

The Popp Point Pressure™ line was recently listed with the FDA and received CE Mark approval, paving the way
for widespread international distribution. With growing adoption among tactical medics, special operations units, and
emergency responders, 6:8 Medical Solutions is poised to transform trauma care delivery worldwide.
